Australia has taken the first step towards healing the wounds of the past. By acknowledging the wrong doings of past generations and expressing sympathy towards the Indigenous people for their sufferings, our nation has is one step closer to reconciliation. We the elders of the Alngith and Napranum Aboriginal people of Weipa celebrate this new era and would like to be a part of the remedy for the many social ills that have inflicted our people. We would like to play a leading role in the healing process and work towards alleviating the social, economic, health and educational problems in our society. The projects presented in this website are our way of addressing the housing, education, health and employment problems for our people. So please help us to help our people in a real and permanent way.
