The Malaruch Alngith Corporation held the inaugural Indigeno Art Exhibition at the Brisbane Riverside Centre from Monday 6th July to Friday 17th July.
The exhibition was a collaboration of 22 artists from across Queensland from Weipa to Toowoomba and was officially opened on Wednesday 8th of July by the Representative of the Premier the Honourable Craig Wallace and the Member for Cook, the Honourable Jason O’Brien.
Artists exhibiting their work included Gail Mabo, Bianca Beetson, Daniel Murrupi, Margaret de Jersey and Karen Coconut.
The event was a marvelous success with over 100 guests including many indigenous elders, parliamentary representatives, gallery owners and dignitaries attending the opening night. 
The exhibition was open to the public for 2 weeks and attracted large crowd of locals and tourists alike.
