The Malaruch Alnigth Corporation is the sole trustee for the Weipa Traditional Owner Group Trust. The corporation was established in 2001 and has among its responsibilities the social, economic and spiritual welfare of its traditional membership. Over the last 7 years of operation, the Malaruch Alnigth Corporation has grown to become a highly successful, well-managed and operationally sound organisation. We are the Napranum / Weipa township Alngith traditional owner group. We maintain links with this land through our ancestors and descend from Ruchook and Malakulla. We have retained the traditional knowledge of this area for many generations and are committed to the following goals:
- Delivery of cultural knowledge and traditions associated with the traditional land areas to the future generations
- Sharing useful land care information with the wider community through various means of the media
- Involving the community in various activities and the delivery of camp fire story telling.
